Manufacturer's Warranty
Wags Gear warrants that, subject to the limitations and exclusions outlined below, all parts of our manufactured or assembled trailers are free from defects in material and workmanship (excluding jockey wheels, bearings, tyres, wheels, brake pads, and wearable parts) for a period of:
- 12 months from the date of purchase (3 months for commercial use). Any defects in original material or manufacture will be corrected at no cost to the original purchaser for parts and labour involved in the rectification.
To make a warranty claim, the purchaser must:
- Email the following to accounts@wagsgear.com.au:
- Photos of the issue
- A copy of the sales invoice
- A photo of the VIN plate
- Await an approval email from Wags Gear.
Please follow this process for warranty claims; otherwise, Wags Gear will not cover the costs.
The warranty is not transferable if the trailer is sold by the original purchaser during the warranty period. Your Wags Gear comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. The benefits of this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies under Australian Consumer Law.
Important: Keep your trailer serviced and covered.
This warranty does not apply if the trailer has not been regularly serviced or if damage occurs due to:
- Accidents
- Fair wear and tear
- Misuse, neglect, or abuse
- Storm damage or other natural events
- Unauthorized repairs
The warranty does not cover:
- Appliances and equipment not manufactured or supplied by Wags Gear (e.g., refrigerators, freezers, or customer modifications), which are covered by the warranty terms of their respective manufacturers.
- Defects resulting from overloading, misuse, negligence, or other causes beyond Wags Gear’ control.
- Defects resulting from the fitting or installation of accessories or options after the trailer has left Wags Gear premises.
- Rectification or modifications required due to changes in local, state, or federal legislation after the trailer’s manufacture.
- Consequential damages or repair work needed due to continued use or towing after a defect has become apparent.
- Accommodation or relocation expenses, including fuel or freight, loss of earnings or rents, or other costs incurred during repairs under this warranty.
Regular servicing is required every 6 months or more frequently with high-frequency use, including re-greasing bearings and bolts every 500 km.
